fotografr Posted April 11, 2007 Share #1 Posted April 11, 2007 Advertisement (gone after registration) Today, April 11, downtown Madison. I guess this must be somebody's idea of a joke.
Advertisement Posted April 11, 2007 Posted April 11, 2007 Hi fotografr, Take a look here Spring?. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
martinop Posted April 11, 2007 Share #2 Posted April 11, 2007 Interesting and surprising shot for this time of year. The cold weather still persists in Spring. Here in NE PA., December 2006 was much warmer versus March and April (2007) and we also had no snow in December.
georgetoles Posted April 11, 2007 Share #3 Posted April 11, 2007 Yes, this is a very impressive shot. Very graphic. How often does New York get snow in April?
bampolsk Posted April 11, 2007 Share #4 Posted April 11, 2007 Very nice shot. What did you shoot with? I remember the winter of 1965 in Madison. Snow about this same time of year. there was a lot of snow that year in Madison with temperatures as low as -25... no global warming there... I don't think I could take those temps anymore. it's cold enough for april 11 here in Philadelphia. Brian
jmr Posted April 11, 2007 Share #5 Posted April 11, 2007 Brent, nicely composed, the falling snow works really well.
biglouis Posted April 11, 2007 Share #6 Posted April 11, 2007 Very nice snow picture and you have my sympathies - especially as it has been t-shirt weather here in London for the last couple of days. LouisB

I was also here in '65, but don't remember much about it because those were my party days.
fotografr Posted April 11, 2007 Author Share #9 Posted April 11, 2007 Yes, this is a very impressive shot. Very graphic. How often does New York get snow in April? Thanks, George. Actually, Madison, Wisconsin--not Madison Avenue. Last year we had snow here on May 1st. You don't have to be crazy to live here, but it helps. fotografr Posted April 11, 2007 Author Share #10 Posted April 11, 2007 Interesting and surprising shot for this time of year. The cold weather still persists in Spring. Here in NE PA., December 2006 was much warmer versus March and April (2007) and we also had no snow in December. Get ready, Paul. This could be headed your way. stuny Posted April 11, 2007 Share #11 Posted April 11, 2007 Brent - Lovely, though meteorologically depressing. I especailly like how the snow is adhering to about 40 degrees of rotation of the tree trunks.
billh Posted April 12, 2007 Share #12 Posted April 12, 2007 It would be hard not to be sympathetic, but next time maybe your shouldn’t post such a pretty picture.?
JE Posted April 12, 2007 Share #13 Posted April 12, 2007 Very atmospheric photo. Growing up in Chicago, I am no stranger to the April snow (or May for that matter) storm. I love winters in cities, and I'd trade your "spring" for mine here (Bogota) right now. Jonathan
lambroving Posted April 12, 2007 Share #14 Posted April 12, 2007 Brent, Mind keeping it out there? As Paul says, very chilly and damp here. He might get a couple of flakes, but no more. Hanging just above freezing. Very boring... Not a flower in sight nor a bud on a tree. YOU know what I want to be doing... How about a vote on a 50,000' wall on the Canadian border?
