ShotCapture Posted August 6, 2013 Share #1 Posted August 6, 2013 Advertisement (gone after registration) Anyone shoot a video on their M240 while riding a train. I'm taking a Vacation by Rail trip later in the year and interested in trying video. The M doesn't have stabilization, so how good a video can be shot while moving? Any tips? Thanks. Nicolas Soldati Posted August 6, 2013 Share #2 Posted August 6, 2013 The best way IMO is to invest in a steadycam. Nicolas
jaapv Posted August 6, 2013 Share #3 Posted August 6, 2013 I think that the tool is not the real problem. Keeping the camera steady will be more problematic, and shooting landscape from the same point of view as it whips by will call for quite some editing skills to keep the viewer's interest for more than a few minutes. rramesh Posted August 6, 2013 Share #4 Posted August 6, 2013 Video through a closed window, not so interesting. Video from an open window, better make sure you don't drop the camera. For video inside the train compartment, a handheld steady cam would work. Only thing it adds to the bulk you need to carry.
