Great framing and a well-balanced colour theme. And, of course, the artist herself. That picture really makes me wonder what she’s up to. Thank you - that means a lot. I find the MP, Summilux-M 75 and Portra 160 a magical combination for portraits, especially in good light. I love the low key colours and wonderful gradations. I was delighted the way this came out - especially her eyes. I have a few other portraits from the week still to post. 3

What mischief we'd have been able to get up to, armed with our Leicas, fresh film and keen eyes! Perhaps one day we' will get that opportunity - I hope so. I do thank you for your very kind and generous words about my pictures (I'm blushing) but would add that all of us have our own styles (for better or worse!) and that I often look at yours and others's pictures here and wish mine could look as good. I think there's something in the thinking that we're all always trying to find some way we can improve our own pictures (which only indicates how passionate we are about creating good work) and readily look at the wonderful work that is constantly submitted to this I Like Film thread. It really is an outstanding gallery of immense variety. And without exception people here are kind and generous towards the work of others. That is very special. Ah! Our travels wouldn't have quite coincided then - we only went as far south in Tuscany as Montepulciano. But your sprezzatura trees have caused Porto di Ercole to be on our wishlist for future travels in Tuscany should we be so fortunate. Thank you Phil, for your words of comfort, and who knows-maybe we really get the opportunity for a walk. I do agree, this corner of the forum is an exceptionally enjoyable place to watch and share pictures. Let's try to keep it the way. Last not least, the place where I took the picture of the trees is next to the "Spiaggia di Feniglia", a free beach on a strip of land connecting the mainland to the Isola Monte Argentario. Looked like a place busy in high season, but in May it was virtually empty. 1

It was our wedding anniversary recently and I got out some negatives from 48 years ago and made beautiful crisp b&w 10x8 prints for my wife of us at that time, would never have been able to do that any other way!! Not heard of her previously but took a look at her website.  Some very nice images there and the cyanotype time lapse video is fascinating. Nice portrait. Could be worth a bit of work to straighten it up and remove the cyan cast to enter it into Taylor Wessing.  Hope the eyes are sharp, it's difficult to tell due to the  forum image mangle. 1
