I don't see the pixels myself but what about putting a slightly opaque sheet of overhead film or such (or even just piece of white cotton sheet) on top of the tablet? Very intriguing, your notion of "haptic photography," non-language communication which conveys meaning through physical contact, according to the Oxford dictionary. Well, I had to look it up, and I am not sure how it would work, but I get buzzed by the idea of non-language communication. Doesn't this create its own language, though?
