This looks a very nice setup for some serious touring, Pritam. Is this taken close to home or further afield?

Not far from home but in Switzerland, just inland north of Lac Leman. Close to Montreux, where they wrote the song Smoke on the Water.

How did you get out of this one? The platoon looks unfriendly and you are, of course, a "spy" with a camera from Brazil.

Exactly my thoughts when I first saw it posted. Four uniformed and one civilian (working under-cover) all eye-balling you.

10 speed running shoes perhaps? 🤣

A flamboyance of flamingos! Yes, indeed, you come again to the rescue just when the labyrinth had forgotten flamboyant film.

There's a fifth in uniform, undercover. Don't tell me those gases belching forth are not toxic, either.

Garage Band

My brother, Bill.

After 30 year hiatus, Mom's passing pulled some string in his soul and made him pick up his Rickenbacker bass, again. Sounded real good. Cruel to be Kind. Took him about 30 minutes to get it back to perfect. Mom would be proud. She always hated the fact that he walked away from his music.

And my third brother, Billy. He showed up one day about 45 years ago, age 10 or so, and has stuck around since.

Philip, spectacular and quiet at the same time. The colours of Ektar really shine in those long exposures. A lot of "fuzzy" foreground well balanced by a detailed background.

I like the play of the sharpness wide open with the subtle colour changes.

Anybody else still shooting infrared with Leica film cameras?

Leica M6, Leica 50/2 pre-ASPH Summicron lens, R72 filter, Ilford SFX200 film, developed with Xtol.

Yes, I run an occasional roll through the M4-P. And even with the darkest filter you still can see and frame what you are shooting, a big advantage vs. SLR's. An excellent motive you chose here, masterly composed.

This was my first go at the XP2. I have to admit that I was a little bit excited about the outcome. It feels so wrong to develop a C 41 in Rodinal....

HB, Makro-Planar 135/ Bellows, XP 2 @ 400, Rodinal 1:25,  18 min @ 22 C

A nice still life.

And I thought there were only four, but that the toxic gasses had made the fourth one grow a third arm :)

Great to see you back, and with such classic and superb pictures of a place seemingly lost in time.

This is brilliant! Only with film, eh? And if my still-yet-to-arrive 40mm minolta gives me any measure of creative  like this, I'll be absolutely stoked! Bring on the happy accidents, the fortuitous mistakes, the serendipitous unimaginable things the camera store would rather you not see or even pay for! This is art! This is brilliant!

Some of the results look a touch more "normal". They have a definite colour implosion effect, somehow leaning towards the Lumière Autochrome film - there's another emulsion that I sorely miss, though I never even tried it.

A touch of filmic nostalgia

The box has an expiry date 01/2001. I would have bought it maybe 12 months earlier.

It works out to  $1/roll (120)!!

I now pay about $15-18/roll. ☹️
