Steve - I really love your B&W images from the Easter Parade.  Unfortunately, I was a pumpkin (observing Passover) and not able to join in the fun.  Perhaps next year I'll get the opportunity as the clothing and colors are so fantastic!

oops ....

Thanks very much everyone for your support.  I sell prints to people and even assist with mounting and framing all the time.  So I have the procurement process down pretty well.  I haven't, however, done a project of quite this size where I am sinking so much of my own money upfront.  The giant plexi-mounted pieces (~71"X48") were about $900 each just to produce (and that is with a 25% discount on both the print and the mounting)!   Let's see what happens with it :)  I will definitely keep everyone posted.

Yes CONGRATS!!!!!!!!

Hello Adam,

Your pictures look very nice.  Do well.

The place looks very nice.

Best Regards,

Michael

Seeing the photos of the display adds emphasis to the enormity of your work. At once, humbling....and inspiring. To have seen them first, here, adds to the sense of value I feel for this small group. I hope and pray for your success; but I know the shots will soon be all over NYC the country. the globe. Outstanding!

Best,

Wayne

As a "homage to the vitality of film photography" Adam I hope your venture receives the attention it deserves.

Congratulations, Adam!

"homage to the vitality of film photography", indeed. I know what a huge expense and nervous worry putting on an exhibition can be: is this the best sequence; are the lights making a glare on this or that picture; is the caption accurate (spelt correctly...); should I substitute picture 'a' for picture 'b'?

I hope you have a load of sales to fund the processing of more scenes from NYC (and other places) which we so enjoy.

This is great stuff, Adam. I'm sure all that dedication which has gone into your work will have its just reward and recognition.

My best wishes. And, by the way, hats off for taking the plunge!

Hi Matt - Thank for the comment.  I used a Leica SF-24D for all of these color photos from the snow blizzards.   I hope that you will look me up the next time you are visiting family in NYC!

I love the shooting style.
I live in Chicago-ish. I have family near NYC. People think a big city is a big city. But, they're not. Each has it's own distint "look".
You're using a flash in some of these? What flash? Something fairly small and obscure?

Matt

Wow, this one is amazing, Eoin.  Am I right that either an orange or red filter was used?  I just love the contrast between the sand and the sky.  Your lovely daughter really nailed the exposure!

Eoin - Sincere thanks and thanks for helping make these images better than my first cut.  I shared initial draft of all of these photos here and I all except for two or three ended up MUCH improved through further toiling thanks to comments received here (and only here).

Excellent, Adam! Please keep us updated on the whole experience. It is wonderful to see your stellar work shared with a greater audience, and I'm very interested to hear what the reactions are of those who don't care at all about how an image is created, just about what they see. I hope you get to hear their voices.

Wonderful effort!

This is fantastic, Paul.  And congrats on the stellar development!

Wow, this is a masterpiece, Wayne.  Love the colors and composition.  It has your signature all over it, which makes it even more special.

The flash use to freeze the action and the snow flakes is really excellent, Adam!

Lovely composition with the natural spotlight on the flower, Wayne. The dust on the negative makes it look real :)
