Wonderful series Pritam, and poignant, as this too shall pass.

Trying to bridge the gap between photos for family and photos that have this little something extra to be shared with a wider audience is a very interesting exercise

You do that with a high expertise. Love what you are doing!!

And this one was shot with @LocalHero1953 in mind, as I suppose that this is quite an interesting geological phenomenon.

Old town of Heidelberg (Leicaflex SL, Sumiicron-R-50, Ilford Pan 400):

That is a place I never got round to going to, although I always meant to and I have probably left it too late now. My mother stayed there for a few weeks in 1938 as an exchange teacher from Scotland. She was taken by her hosts to a huge Hitler rally in Nuremberg, which she said was fairly alarming, especially as her next hosts in Berlin were jewish. She spoke fluent German so was wholly aware of what was being said at the rally. She later taught in an underground Jewish Academy (the Myra Goldschmidt Academy), as jewish children had all been expelled from regular schools in Berlin. I met one of her Berlin pupils in 2003, a man called Daniel Ziegler. He had escaped on one of the Kinderzüge in 1939 to England, sponsored by the Jewish Committee in London and ended up at the same prep school in Haslemere that I went to in the late 1950's. I met him at an old boys reunion. He was very keen to meet my mother again and he became very emotional when he realised his teacher in Berlin was my mother but sadly she had died a few years earlier.

A few test images on Kodak Portra 160 film from my Leica III with British Dallmeyer 12 inch (300mm) f4.5 lens from c 1934/5. Leica had nothing like this back then. My trial was affected by a storm called Kathleen, some wind on (dropped frames), focus and framing issues. Still, there was enough to see that this is a very fine lens which would produce great images once those issues had been overcome. Of course, I did not acquire this rig to take photographs with it, but rather because of its extreme rarity as a collector's item 😇 . The lens is, also, extremely heavy (c 3.5 lbs) and a good strong tripod is recommended. Still, 3 of these were hand held. My arms and eyes were aching afterwards.
