An interesting character

I met this guy while walking Jupter along the clifftop track. We chatted for awhile. He is very shy and introspective, but has a lot f conversation. I convinced him to let me shoot him. The first pic shows his real character. The second, I took after telling him I was finished. An old trick to relax a nervous sitter. He relaxed, but I think the first pic is the real him, IMO.

Delightful, both of them. And an excellent documentation of your daughter’s life(s).

I've found a few more, taken a very long time ago, with my Hasselblad and standard 80mm lens.

No, it's on the Applecross to Shieldaig road, overlooking Loch Shieldaig.

It even has its own car park, for all the bloody photographers up there.

I last was on that road on the 2014 Scottish Malts Trial/Rally. We stopped by a motorhome with an elderly couple standing beside it on the quite narrow road up to Applecross. They had been run off the road by a bunch of hooligans in Lamborghinis. We got the rally's breakdown truck to get them out of the clag but they had to use a couple of airbags as they were chassis deep in the bog at the side of the road. Our rally organisers reported the Lamborghini lot to our police liaison contact and we saw them later in the day all stopped at the side of the road with traffic officers in attendance. Schadenfreude 😀😀

Trying to bridge the gap between photos for family and photos that have this little something extra to be shared with a wider audience is a very interesting exercise. Really glad to know you liked them. Thanks a lot!

Hi Klaus
On flights, I always pack my films in an extra bag/pounch in my cabin luggage, which I present at the security check without being asked.
I say that it is sensitive film material and so they inspect the films by eye mostly the camera bag too.
My films were never scanned this way, especially when using fast lane processing.
I also stored my filmrolls in empty metall bulkfilm tins. 7 reels goes easy in one tin
maybe it will help if they are accidendly running through a scanner.

I just returned from Norway and had several security checks domestic and national flights.
My Films in the bulkfilm tins are alway manual were checked on demand without any complains.
The tins were accepted unopened. Two timesss I had to turn my camerabag the the "left"
and they demand me to open the Cameras. They have a look through every lens.
I can discribe the hole procedure as friendly and professional.
