Wonderful, Robert. Something about the thought of using a Rolleiflex on the streets of Paris makes me smile. I'll bet you and it get a lot of attention while doing so.

It was interesting because I found it quite discrete in that many times people didn't seem to be aware that their photograph was being taken - I think partly because the camera normally isn't brought up to the eye, which some find a little intimidating - when people did see it there was quite a lot of interest and some people seemed keen, or at least accepting, to feature in the picture.

Excuse my ignorance, and I didn't feel the desire to go back through the 4201 pages to look for rules/instructions on this thread. It seems you can post photos from any film camera/lens here and are not limited (like the rest of the forum) to posting images with either a leica body or leica lens (or both). Is that indeed correct for this thread?

Film based photography is the key. Looking forward to your contributions.

Welcome!!!!

Yes, just to say that it is also true in the 6x6 thread over on the German side. Here:

also, there are digital threads for L mount cameras/lenses even if not involving Leica equipment. I think that's it.

Finally, it's easy to get to the beginning of any thread: just hit the double caret on the furthest left of the page numbers. It's here:

Yes, I know and did that but in the first post I didn't find any reference if the normal forum rules applied or not, and a few posts down there was somebody who first posted a Mamiya photo and then removed it because it "violated the forum rules". For the rest all early photo's in the thread were Leica cameras so the relaxation of the rules for this thread must have happened along the way somewhere in these 4201 pages.

It is pretty relaxed here.

In that case here is a Rolleicord picture I took many years ago. Copy of a darkroom print. I took a new picture a few years ago of the churchyard grass being cut, now with health and safety rules the grass cutter wore gloves, helmet with visor, protective overalls and used a powered strimmer to achieve the same result.

Great photo and a good reminder of the value of catching the world that exists around us today - because who knows what it will look like tomorrow? This is a marvellous picture of a time that otherwise only lives in memory.
