What is it, Klaus - a bridge? Such beautiful tonality in this! So this is given extra time in the developer, Ken? Highlights and shadows look in perfect balance here - there is so much detail in those shadows! Thanks, Phil. I had tried a mix of HC110 and Rodinal (why? why not!), but I didn't see a note to myself that Rodinal is not effective at standing development with films of ISO 400 or faster: the halo effect. That really messed me up for a bit. Back to pure HC110 or, if I want to play mad scientist mixing the two, only with a slower film.

Yes, they promised us it will be a bridge some time.. meanwhile it is a menace to all drivers on the Autobahn A 61. The river Neckar is running in a wide and shallow valley here, so the bridge needs to be quite long... and they looked up the meteorological data to be prepared for the "once in a century flood".... so it needs to be quite massive too. A good idea, because these once in a century floods seem to morph into once in a decade floods.... I hope you folks down under are safe . vor 10 Stunden schrieb Ernest: But, what is this arboreal footnote in this forest of concrete? A wishdream? Setting up a tree on a house, that has just got a roof and where the masons are about to leave the site for others to take over was and is a nice tradition in Germany. I did that years ago. There is a small gathering, the masons are thanked, they get an envelope, the architect some kind words, the masons bring out a cheer and then it´s barbecue and beer. But under the circumstances of this building site it struck me as odd... wish dream might be the right word. But apparently the laborers on this huge site still consider themselves to be craftsmen in the traditions of gone times.... vor 6 Stunden schrieb Bateleur: If I may, Klaus, these borrowed words (from Wie wenn am Feiertage ...) wrap your photograph in a seal of appreciation "From reassuring rain ... comes Lights embrace" Forgive me I read the translation, but Elizabeth restored the balance by reading the German (she has a good library) for then I could see beyond language and admit my own limitations. Charles, thank you so much for your kind words.. these borrowed words are perfect. And congrats to have such a literate woman at your side. Installed mirror, screen, hood structure off of second camera with frozen lower. Not real complex, but parts are all appropriate to the camera. This is, I believe, the third model Rolleiflex and was not marketed for too long a period of time. However, it is pleasing to use due to small size and weight........Plus there is the magic of the ZJ Tessar. glow is likely a combination of film and lens. It is hard to pin expired East-Bloc film down. One never knows what manner of disappointing - or, in my case, joy- it is going to present. In this instance it was some manner of debris that became embedded in the negatives on the emulsion side. More examples from my Sunday walk: Welcome, dear visitor!
