Great photo, Steve. Trees are a never ending photographic pleasure. And your trees even more.  And no viruses out there....

How strong is the lockdown in the UK?
Does it mean you are not allowed to walk outside your house? Just shopping the most needed things?
Her in germany just overnighters in hotels are forbidden and we are allowed to walk in the woodsand at the sea but only in small groups of people living together in one household.
But more and more the people do not care anymore and the authorities do not really control the tourist hotspots anymore.
So the lockdown here is a papertiger and i am afraid that is why we have to deal with it for much longer than would actually be possible.

Bojo finally announced the right decision today to increase effect of the lockdown, effective from Wednesday.  It's long overdue and C-19 is spreading rapidly here.  Too many people not abiding by the rules has fuelled the spread.  Hopefully it will be enforced and examples made where necessary to make selfish idiots understand this is serious.

M6, Summicron-M 50 (III), Kodak Ektar, mini-lab process, Nikon CS5000ED, Capture One.  Apparent colour-cast is pretty much what I saw on the day.

Some sad story revealing itself involving a hungry dog and little red riding hood? :)

How many of you have gone back to film after digital? I’m craving the experience of developing and printing, building a dark room, and using a medium format camera. The cost though... I worry about the cost of film going up yet again.

But looking at a roll of Kodachrome that was developed and not mounted, that I’d forgotten about, and blimey. Wow.

Please forgive me. This is not an analog photo, in itself (M10M, 50DR), but I just can't help myself showing you my new Leica M-A, that arrived today. I am just soo over the moon happy. Going down to the basement now to wet my first rolls of film and check it out for focus and exposure with some wide aperture lenses. :))

What I beauty! I can fully understand your feelings! I also have a black M-A and it is such a joy to use!

Partially in my case - with the odd grumble. All my black and white is film, I do all my own developing, scanning (which I loathe) and to the extent I can ever get in to the darkroom I use (9 months in the last year it has been locked down) printing. I use digital for colour, which is very rarely as it isn't an aesthetic that I am as happy with (and loathe carting two cameras)

One can debate the economics, but what you want will cost, and film is not going down in price. With digital you pay upfront and the principal cost is depreciation, with film the cameras are, were, may not be in future, cheaper, but you pay as you use (with the occasional service). Developing is cheap, depending on what you use.

I get a lot of joy out of film, and that can't be priced.

Exactly. I had an Digilux 2, an M8, an M9; an M240P... and then gave up on digital Leicas.  Bought  2 MPs to comfort the  remaining lenses... Kind of peanuts compared to the depreciation of the digital stuff...   2 MPs ?   Yes, a black paint for b/w, a chrome for color... I never looked  back after that decision.

Not sure how I missed this, but an exquisite photo of a beautiful, sparse, location on a moor I adore.

Thanks, Charles.

I have family who live on the Moor and I've spent a lot of my time over many years walking and wild camping on Dartmoor.  Always good to be out there!
