Please forgive me. This is not an analog photo, in itself (M10M, 50DR), but I just can't help myself showing you my new Leica M-A, that arrived today. I am just soo over the moon happy. Going down to the basement now to wet my first rolls of film and check it out for focus and exposure with some wide aperture lenses. :))

Applause for the diagonals in this composition that set off your new M-A. Congratulations!

Masterful composition, accentuated by the skewed ladder. Such controlled asymmetrical design.

Wow, looks beautiful. Do the new film Leicas have a 0,72 Viewfinder?

Marley, the cantankerous Chihuahua. Owned by a pasty shop owner, it is fair to say his ribs have long since disappeared. Miserable sod but photographs well. M3 DR Summicron 50mm f2, HP5+ at 250 in PMK Pyro. The 50mm worked perfectly as a portrait lens, kept me far enough away to avoid being bitten...

Thanks verwackelt. Indeed they do (you can ceck it out in Leica Wiki). The viewfinder is just beautiful. CLEAN with high contrast, solid frame lines and no red diodes.

This is an outstanding photograph. How many times I have gone to the zoo, and seen an unlimited number of things to take pictures of, but nothing in the way of a real photograph. Quite an accomplishment.

Best,

Wayne

Yeah, we have it OK here but that will change, this "new strain" has arrived here.

Too many people not taking it seriously here, bureaucratic dithering and too little enforcement.  There is a price to pay.

Stay safe.

Another Leica bookmark with some 100-year-old letterpress type that I print, cut out, and fold to glue it up, so there's a front and back. Happy Analog New Year!

Rog, great idea. Very much a "Bauhaus" approach to make art an everyday thing. I think art in our everyday life keeps us sane.

Thomas, I´ve been up there. Fortunately before  the brewery tour.... Very nice foto, I like the creative perspective.

Phil, phantastic management of the difficult light... I find it so difficult in b/w to catch the atmosphere of a sunny day with a full sun, you did it.  And of course the dazzling arrangement of structures and lines... seriously  good.

This is so funny, Bo. Not for all of us, but I think I can relate to this kind of humor..

Wayne, nothing that could have  been done better here. The rhythm of the rectangles, the inclination of the  ladder, extended by the electricity line, and then the horse, something living in this quiet arrangement. I'm sure, that it turned its head a fraction after you pushed the button...

How strong is the lockdown in the UK?
Does it mean you are not allowed to walk outside your house? Just shopping the most needed things?
Her in germany just overnighters in hotels are forbidden and we are allowed to walk in the woodsand at the sea but only in small groups of people living together in one household.
But more and more the people do not care anymore and the authorities do not really control the tourist hotspots anymore.
So the lockdown here is a papertiger and i am afraid that is why we have to deal with it for much longer than would actually be possible.
