Rog, you are chasing my eyes around this field, trying to have a closer look at the gray spots at the crossings--which of course vanish as soon as I think I got it... So maybe it is not only about photography as Phil suggests, but also about reality and imagination; maybe about windmills in the distance.. vor 15 Stunden schrieb stray cat: Taos Pueblo, New Mexico 2009 R8, 50mm Summicron, Fomapan 100, orange filter and I wish the %$#%^(*& SUV had have waited just a few seconds longer... This photo is an event.......shared event. I think that it is on the highest level of photography. While it's texture is unique, it reminds me of some of Eggleston's work. It makes me want to be there. For fun, I imagine something diabolical with the chickens triangulating the sheep. What could be their intent? Ilha Grande by JM__, on Flickr Ektachrome 100 - Leica CL - 38mm f2.8 Zeiss (former Contax T lens) I like your use of re-purposed lenses. And the Contax T series has always had small jewels of lenses. I am curious to see more of this one. 21 hours ago, AntonioF said: Afternoon light in the kitchen - Leica M6, Summicron 50 V, Ferrania P30 You used the steep contrast curve of the Ferrania film to good advantage here! 21 hours ago, AntonioF said: This New Mexico series is fantastic! Great shot. I'm sure other people asked already, how did you like Metropolis? It is surely an interesting film. I like some of its image representations a lot, but am still getting used to it's quirks. Red is not strongly represented in its palette, highlights blow in strong contrast situations, you get basically 35 exposures, not 36 and all the films have slight scratches somewhere, so either the emulsion is soft, the cassette faulty, my camera sucks or the development laboratory singles out this film... Still, it's a unique film, so I am not unhappy with it 8 hours ago, John Robinson said: Tri-X Pan, Sydney, 1980. When the grain of the film merges with the texture of the image...
