Suede Posted January 3, 2018 Share #45103 Posted January 3, 2018 Very nice b&w picture with TMax Pritam You dev yourself ? Best Henry No, Henry. I send the film to a commercial photographer in Grenoble who sends it on to a lab. He then scans them on to a flash drive for me. Sometimes I wish that I did it myself but I'd have to learn! Thank you for your comment, much appreciated.

Wayne Posted January 3, 2018 Share #45105 Posted January 3, 2018 Nice pic Antonio, liking the tones. Do some people just dump cars like fly tipping. It's been these some time looking at the surrounding vegetation. What are those things on the passenger side, USA Today and the other thing? This, being a Lincoln Town Car, has met a fate not too difficult to understand. Unlike Cadillac's, Lincolns do not retain their identity as a desirable status symbol when they become long in the tooth. Those things on the passenger side are coin operated newspaper machines. Oddly, USA Today has suffered the same fate as this fine example of automobile design and craftsmanship: because the papers cannot be sold, they are generally distributed for free by many U.S. hotel chains. You will frequently find abandoned papers laying about hotel lobbies.

Beresford Posted January 3, 2018 Share #45107 Posted January 3, 2018 Advertisement (gone after registration) Question for the team: Do you guys think super low temperatures have any influence over how film behaves and exposes ? I am based in Montreal where it has been pretty cold lately ( -20 with wind gusts down to -38 C ). I did some shooting yesterday in those conditions , a bit of in and out. Processed the roll at night following my usual routine for this type of film and push. I obviously allowed the film to warm up to normal room temperatures for few hours before processing it. The roll turned out ok'ish but looked a bit grainer, underexposed at times. Sort of lo fi'ish I would say. I shot with Summaron 35mm 2.8 lens which on normal days is blade sharp. Any thoughts on this ? thanks and happy holidays. When I was at school (50 years ago!) our chemistry master wore a beard because (we were always led to believe) he had taken the skin off his cheek while photographing in a Polar region. Ouch! In very cold (and thus dry) conditions I would be a little careful with winding on my film lest static caused streaking. Perhaps, too, the film would become brittle. At least if you are using most of the film Leicas you won't have to worry about batteries failing. And we Leica and film users take all these things in our stride.

These pictures must bring back such wonderful memories - and vivid, like the colour films of the day! It is nice, too, to be reminded how beautiful were the colours of Ektachrome 64 - especially the skin-tones and the blues.
