Another XP2 Plus shot...

p1443249172-5.jpg

Family, Oaxaca, Mexico 2011

M6TTL, Elmarit 28mm, XP2+

I think Henry might recognize the highlight and shadow capabilities here - for the scan I found myself forcibly crushing the blacks a little and holding back the highlights to try to get the feeling of contrast I wanted in the picture. And also so that the word "Love" would stand out.

For Xenia  :)

During my last humanitarian mission in last september 2016 , we were in a village where there is no road

for cars.  We have to walk 2 hours to get there.

We were in this house provided by its owner , transformed in consulting room for patients in the village.

Heatwave weather and no air conditioner.
Very enriching experience.

Kodak TMAX100 (for Klaus)

Leica MP system M very light camera , ideal when you move a lot, not heavy

50 Summilux Asph

Best

Why not? There is nothing new on an M-A :-)

Because the M-A is based on the M6/MP, and those have a protrusion on the bottom inside the bajonet mount that interferes with the second cam of the DR, so it cannot be mounted. I suspect that the protrusion covers the sensors for the Light meter. As the M-A does not have a meter ...

Henry - exquisite photographs of what looks like a beautiful place - albeit one in need of the help of friends. That must carry with it a particular resonance for you.

Seems not to be a problem of the lightmeter:

What happened to that film? Thy sky looks a bit strange with dark stripes? Enough agitation?

Not sure - the negative looks ok to me. I use a rotary processor (constant agitation) to develop my film.

Perhaps the scan settings (low res jpeg scans) may have something to do with the artefacts in the sky.

I will post another image shot within minutes that seems ok.

Thanks

Ramesh

Coogee, to whom do you say?

You know 40 years of photo , we start to differentiate nevertheless the color, the "true" color

without correction.

If some do not differentiate , they compare (with digital photos) , and they will see.

I stopped buying digital for this reason.

The color in this picture is wonderful and in addition in " contre-jour"

Effect 3D on my Eizo screen ! amazing relief :)

Thanks for posting

Best H.

Thanks Henry, I agree wholeheartedly on the vivid, special way film can capture light and colour. I gave up digital photography entirely and don't miss it for a moment.

My original comment was to the thread as a whole, I like film :)
