Doc Henry Posted July 21, 2016 Author Share #18842 Posted July 21, 2016 Henry, Thank you, I have indeed been to Saint Malo on several occasions, and a nice city it is. A bit touristy at times, but I suppose that's part of the deal. And it has a number of very recognisable landmarks. 160710_1_MP_0056.jpg MP, 135, FP4, ns Rgds Christoph Christoph it's Brittany and as you I love this region. May be for my retirement .... and seafood is delicious Nice moment for your b&w picture. Thanks Best Henry

Doc Henry Posted July 21, 2016 Author Share #18852 Posted July 21, 2016 (edited) those are portra 400, they are sharp on my lap top .... i think sometimes sharpness gets slightly diminished in the translation to the net ... .... a little blur and also sharp elsewhere on the picture, it means to me a good "nuance" as I said above That's the difference with digit pictures where all the picture is sharp,It becomes "flat" and have "no nuance" The advantage of film is the superposition of different levels which gives a certain relief in the photo It was not a criticism but a compliment I said film picture "have a soul" Once again very nice pictures Steve very well balanced. MT0227 Posted July 21, 2016 Share #18857 Posted July 21, 2016 Adam, Henry....thanks again for your feedback. One way to improve your photography, just come to this thread.....study the pics/posts, shoot, post...repeat Personally, it has helped me immensely is such a short time. Thanks! Adam, would you suggest CRC to do the wet printing as well? I love this one, Marc. The framing, exposure and tones. This deserves to be wet printed and hung up. Congrats! A miller Posted July 21, 2016 Share #18860 Posted July 21, 2016 501CM and 80CF with expired Fuji Pro400h. Does anyone have recommendations for a good Tungsten balanced film for night exposures? I Would suggest cinestill 800T or fuji provia 100F (which is not specially tungsten balanced although it does pretty well in artificial lighting) Adam, Henry....thanks again for your feedback. One way to improve your photography, just come to this thread.....study the pics/posts, shoot, post...repeat Personally, it has helped me immensely is such a short time. Thanks! Adam, would you suggest CRC to do the wet printing as well? yes, sure, or LTI- Lightside (212 685 6871). I would send them your edited file and tell them to dodge and burn the negative to match it.
