Back to film....Just had my M3 clad, Tri-X being delivered today.  I've been shooting with M9 for several years and like it, but I miss the quality of the film images I got some years ago.  Problem, for me, is processing.  I've got a couple of options, but would like any suggestions you folks might have...aside from home processing, which I'm not able to handle right now.  As long as I can get reliable developing, I can scan negatives, with Nikon scanner and Epson 4990.

Hints and tips welcome.

I think they look good Chris. And I think the first one would look amazing on a proper large wet print.

I think I will try the next roll at ISO 320, as these all seemed to be 1/2 to 1 stop overexposed.

At a minimum, the 645n is 15 years old, and there are no spare parts available for repairs any more, and having renewed my love affair with Pentax medium format lenses, I have been thinking long and hard about a 645z, but today I came to a decision—get a 645nii from eBay so that even if my 645n dies I have a replacement.

Very cool shots.

Not sure if one can get it anymore but the T64 from Fuji is a nice film.

501CM and 80CF with expired Fuji Pro400h. Does anyone have recommendations for a good Tungsten balanced film for night exposures?

First congratulations and welcome to a wonderful film world .... :) like me with 5 years of digital M9-M8

Secondly it's better you do all by yourself like most contributors of this thread ,

it's better and work is well done , no scratches and you can do the same on Sunday (external lab closed) :D

...  and this , from the beginning (development) until the end (printing with enlarger if possible)

For the dev. beginning, watch this video :

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LFbTFz6sSIM

TX is a good film giving a beautiful black and a good definition

For dev. you'll need a changing bag example here (I bought one like this) replaces the darkroom :

https://www.amazon.fr/Professional-Changing-Light-Proof-Double-Skinned/dp/B00GB2U7MW

Good development Ken.

If you want I'll show you color development but later

Best

Henry

Sometimes a blur gives an artistic side as I said above to Steve like in this photo.
The tele lens here a 135 mm reduces the depth of field but also gives a blurring side
that I really like.
There are three levels :
foreground  blur

2nd plane a little sharp
3rd plan
background blur again
The result : a relief aspect  :)

You can see this aspect in some impressionist paintings?

.... and a red slamming .

You like ?

I certainly don't have a recommendation, but ask, "Why"? As these are to me without fault.
