gsgary Posted February 25, 2016 Share #11881 Posted February 25, 2016 Advertisement (gone after registration) Hey Henry, I have a very simple Hama remote release that of course works 100% mechanically. Cost me about EUR 10. :-) Ric How much, did they see you coming [emoji3]

Bobitybob Posted February 25, 2016 Share #11882 Posted February 25, 2016 (edited) I find Vista's 400 better than 200 I also like it a lot, and it was even better as I got a load from the Poundshop. Great colour for a cheap film, unfortunately I've run out now Edited February 25, 2016 by Bobitybob
Philjh Posted February 25, 2016 Share #11883 Posted February 25, 2016 My favorite film, Kodak BW400CN, is no longer available so I'm trying to find another. This is XP2 Super. Not convinced yet, so am also trying T-Max 400 and Acros 100. Welcome, dear visitor! M.Dong.Bill Posted February 26, 2016 Share #11890 Posted February 26, 2016 (edited) The film is absolutely better. Numbers tell nothing, your eyes will tell everything. It was took in Kunming China. The film is Ektar 100. My camera is Leica M3+Summicron 50 collapsible. Welcome, dear visitor! dgc Posted February 26, 2016 Share #11891 Posted February 26, 2016 Second shot after a hasty reload is with Tri-X. I think I could quite get to like these 6 x 9cm negs! I can see why ! Can I ask if you had any filter attached or did much post-processing the tonal range and contrast is excellent? Thanks.
dgc Posted February 26, 2016 Share #11892 Posted February 26, 2016 Back to Liverpool. Museum of Liverpool. M7 with Zeiss 50mm on HP5. I am pretty sure I am not overdeveloping these films so the grain must be down to my scanning. Welcome, dear visitor! dgc Posted February 26, 2016 Share #11893 Posted February 26, 2016 In fact the grain is not too bad on the one above, but this one certainly appears more grainy. Welcome, dear visitor! gbealnz Posted February 26, 2016 Share #11894 Posted February 26, 2016 Be interesting to see what a wet print looked like. I found that my later scanning showed similar, lottsa grain. One day I'll crank up the trays and chemicals and print a few, more to see if it is in fact the scanning. Gary
Guest Posted February 26, 2016 Share #11895 Posted February 26, 2016 (edited) Richterswil - Ilford XP2 film by -Ric Capucho- Another foggy picture... I tried to get closer to the nearest tree to see if I could increase the contrast. Shot off the rest of my first roll of Cinestill 800T last night, so looking forward to seeing the results. It'll take a week at the lab. Ric Edited February 26, 2016 by Guest

Can I ask if you had any filter attached or did much post-processing the tonal range and contrast is excellent? Thanks. David - I had a skylight filter on the lens (am awaiting a medium yellow which will then take up residence). Imported into LR (CC), clicked on 'auto' then tweaked the sliders slightly. So no, post-processing was quite minimal. I rate the Tri-X at ISO 320 then dev in 1:50 Rodinal for 11mins 45secs.
