Advertisement Posted May 1, 2013 Posted May 1, 2013 Hi fsprow, Take a look here 135 Elmarit with Goggles on M(240). I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
01af Posted May 1, 2013 Share #2 Â Posted May 1, 2013 Does anyone know if the goggles can be removed on this lens, which I have and like, so it can be used with the EVF? Why do you assume the goggles had to be removed in order to be able to it with EVF?
jaapv Posted May 1, 2013 Share #3 Â Posted May 1, 2013 It is hard to see why they should be removed, but if I recall correctly, it is a matter of two screws...And you would destroy the alignment. It would be simpler to get an R 135/2.8 which is the same lens, but unbeloved and not too expensive.
fsprow Posted May 1, 2013 Author Share #4 Â Posted May 1, 2013 Thanks. I just wanted to remove the goggles to save weight and bulk, but the R lens sounds like a fine alternative. Â Frank
luigi bertolotti Posted May 2, 2013 Share #5 Â Posted May 2, 2013 If you have the 16462 short mount... you need just the "viso length tube" made by Amedeo Muscelli... if you have not, probably finding a good Elmarit R can even be cheaper... I see that Leicashop lists a black 16462 at 230 Euro...
lct Posted May 2, 2013 Share #6  Posted May 2, 2013 The goggles make part of the focus mount on my sample # 11829 so no way to remove them w/o dismantling the focus mount IMHO. See below the lens head, the regular focus mount and the 16462 short mount Luigi was referring to above. Welcome, dear visitor!
