Have you waded through the Image Professor blogs. That is where most of the gems of knowledge are to be found. Otherwise this will be this http://www.amazon.co.uk/Capture-One-Pro-Official-Guide/dp/1118651014/ref=sr_1_1?s=books&ie=UTF8&qid=1364542487&sr=1-1 but not out yet.

No, I hadn't looked at the blog...thanks for the reminder. And the new Wiley book should be great--finally a book on Capture 1. Thanks!

Is it Capture One Pro or Capture One Express?

I thought I had this but notice that the latest time I used Capture One has been in 2009 when the M9 came out.

Thorsten,

The book is for Capture One 7 Pro. It is not due out until 27th September 2013, by which time we may well be on our way to Capture One 8. :)

You should give it a go again. If I remember correctly, you don’t shoot beyond ISO 800 habitually, no? I just made more comparisons over the past two days, between LR 4.4 RC and CO 7.1.1, and I can’t help it, CaptureOne seems to deal with M9 files better. Or more to my tastes.

And prior to anybody asking because I post this much about Capture One: No, I'm not affiliated with PhaseOne, and my first book will spotlight Lightroom rather than CO. But I think despite all the issues CaptureOne still has, it’s well worth a test drive, so, eh.

I just took a look but can't see how to get them to work in C1. When installing only LR was offered as a host. Could you advise how please?

I have been asked again about NIK plug-ins and C1, Here is a small screen shot that I hope helps. All you need to do is set the "Open With" to the correct NIK software. On the Mac, C1 seems to see all my graphics software and presents a list. On Windows, you may need to search for the install location, Most likely in the NIK folder in the program folder...
