Still keep a Digilux2 at my side. The autofocus is a refreshing relief from my M8.2 - ;)

The colour rendering and detail that the Digilux 2 can produce show up on these two photos, the Paella (looks really appetising) and this shot I took in Montpellier, France. I like the second because its basically got only three main colours

Definitely have a distinctive look. It has been close to a year since I got one and never really get tired of it

Just to let you know the Digilux 2 isn't a bad portrait camera when the lighting is right. I love using it especially when I want a leica with a great 28- 90mm zoom lens... This shot was taken using the built in flash set for bounce.

Hank - That is a great shot - more so since it was taken with the bounce flash. I have never been able to get good result with the flash - mainly because I don't like flash photography much. But, this is fantastic. I will need to play around with it more

Thank's, usually I don't like to use a flash but when there is an opportunity to bounce off a white T-bar ceiling it's hard to beat for a light fill in.

Hank's portrait really shows the potential of the little built-in flash in bounce mode. I use that mode quite a lot for personal photography indoors. The great advantage is that, apart from tiny catch-lights in the eyes, the picture is evidently a 'flash' picture.

One little trick I employ, rather than increase ISO to counteract light loss, is to set the shutter speed to 1/30th which effectively doubles the exposure and is equivalent to pushing up the ISO, which I resist. For static subjects while using a table tripod I use even longer shutter speeds if necessary. It requires a test shot or two to optimise the results, but they can be great.

Hello,

One of my first images with Digilux 2.

I find with him the sensuality of the analog devices.:)
