Bouquet d'Or

A Tea-Noisette Rose, introduced in 1872, that we grow in our garden. Taken with my D2.

Now the latest incarnation of my darkroom is finished and up and running I am dropping the D2. Selling one to a chum and the other I will return to the box for possible use at a later date. I will keep an eye on the thread though.

Very sad to hear that, Andy, because you've posted many superb shots.:( Good luck with your dark room though and I hope the D2 inveigles its way back into your heart soon and the itch gets you shooting with it alongside your film cameras.:D

Andy, an "in bocca al lupo" for your new darkroom project. I hope you will go back to your d2 for some shots from time to time. Wonderful the last photo you published.

Sad news for us but good news for you I guess. I will miss your excellent photos, such as the last one.

Wish you best of luck with your darkroom and hope you'll still stop by from time to time.

Cheers

Michel

Thanks to Georg.

The ruined bridge at Remagen now hosts a museum dedicated to peace and reconciliation. The town by the Rhine is a pleasant place and it is now hard to imagine the terrible warfare in the region in 1944-45. Here is a Digilux 2 photo of a visitor reading the memorials to US soldiers who fought there. German cities and towns are imaginative, thoughtful and dignified in their dedication to remembering World War Two and promoting peace.

Thx for this complementary photograph, Ian. Most interesting. I have been to the

museum years ago and was impressed, should go there again.

Found by chance, here is a D2-view of the opposite pillar on the other side of the river.

Best regards

GEORG
