*I tried uploading these from my computer - 850 on the longest side and less than 300 KB, according to my "save for web" PS Elements function, but it still kept saying the file was over the size limit! :(

Any suggestions?

Jim - this may help.

In a nutshell - 960 pixels on the longest side and a maximum file size of 293k should keep you within the posting parameters.

Thanks MPerson. I got it to work this time, but didn't see any way to either edit or delete my previous post, so here are my enlarged Digilux 2 pix.

Hi there! I have been a long time lurker in this thread and I have gone through most of the 90 pages of it :) (researcher by profession!) Thank you all for sharing the insights and the great photos here! It's full of beautiful and sometimes unbelievable photos! Seeing them, reading all the posts and Thorsten Overgaard's blog about Digilux 2 convinced me that this is the camera I wanted. And to this day I believe it's a little trick of destiny that a few months ago I happened to get one off ebay (along with an Elpro E69 macro and a UV filter) for very cheap (compared to what the prices are now). What a joy! I think the camera has changed my approach to photography and I really consider every single composition before clicking. The macro lens is awesome but I was blown away with the ability to do zone focusing. Perfect for street photos and shooting from the hip. I will try to post some photos as soon as I figure out how :)

Thanks Pete! Here goes a favourite photo of mine taken during a street festival in my city. It may not be perfect but I liked the tension of the moment when this performer 'borrowed' a little kid from the audience for this stunt.

Nice shot, Chhnayanat. I'm surprised that the child's parents let him swing around like that over the hard cement without a helmet or other protection.
