How to upload images: Prepare the image as follows: 1.   The image should be sRGB and 8-bits 2.   Reduce the size to 2480 pixels on the longest side. (smaller sizes can be set, but are not recommended) 3.   Sharpen properly for screen. 4.   Save as JPG to your desktop, reducing JPG quality to produce 2000 kB (5000 kB for sponsoring members). 5.   In Lightroom these parameters should be set in the Export dialog. 6.   In the Forum posting or editing box, click “c

They are original JPEGs so are exactly straight out of the D2 with only resizing for the forum upload.

 

This is the beauty of the D2, colours are "spot on"

My first post here.

Got a D2, sensor has been replaced, 7000 clicks in 7 years. Price €430

I like this camera. After some years using camera's with endless possibilities but without aperture and shutter dials I have to get used to using the old controls again. But I do realize I like a camera with limitations. And although pixel count is really low - lens IQ is really high.

 

200 iso - 1/80sec at f/3.,2 - color jpeg with Photoshop and Silver Efex treatment

Digilux 2 is also fun when shooting (really) informally, like at ISO 400 in available light and then converting in B&W with some old film effect (Agfa 100 APX, in this case)

not for large prints for sure, but nice for your album

Palembang is the Capital City of South Sumatra, Indonesia.

Hi all D2 lovers,

I'm a new member at the Leica Forum and totally devoted to my new D2. I use it mostly in B/W and find the images timeless, not like anything else I've seen from any other digital camera. The image below is about being at the right place, at the right time with the right camera. The image is jpg straight out of the camera, no PP, f/2, 1/200 second and 100 asa.

The image is shot at the Oslofjord, Norway. Thanks Thorsten Overgaard, John Thawley, Steve Huff, C. Garrard and all the others for sharing your dedication to the Digilux 2.
