So far, I'd say I'm greatly underwhelmed by the output. This is not a really fine high iso camera, by any means. Very muddy files in low light. Loss of the subtle, transitional colors & generally dull, flat look to most of the images. Not up to the Leica standards I am accustomed to.

The best files I have seen from this camera are B&W conversions.

Noise is a problem as well in very low light, even with the Nocti.

Let's hope the engineers will be able to refine & improve the output.

I don't agree that the output is unimpressive - but I do think that black and white conversions work very well - here are two

I was invited to the press pre-opening of the Geneva Auto Show today and thought it would be a good occasion to test the camera's response to mixed indoor lighting.

I have applied ZERO corrections to the files below. WB was set to Auto and poor framing/exposure are entirely my fault.

Shots 1, 2 and 4 were taken with the Summilux 35 ASPH (non FLE), 3 and 5 were taken with the CV Nokton 50/1.1. All handheld and all at ISO 200, wide open or thereabout. Focusing done exclusively through the RF.

Apologies for the strictly technical subjects...

Wow, Jono!

I'm not sure why... Maybe I am starting to come around to the new sensor, or maybe they just have something of a look that could work for me... But those pictures in Venice got me finally feeling some real enthousiasm about the M.

So...,Thanks!
