Thanks "Leicamann" you input is indeed appreciated. I was curious to see how a different type of image would fare here, as these are of a purely corporate nature.

No 1 with the "Miles Davis glasses" is attracting interest. A lot to look at but it will do the job og attracting people when seen in a magazine or trade paper.

The no 2 is very cool, except for the two bystanders behind the CEO. Their faces aren't good. But it's a terrific shot otherwise.

Thanks to each one of you for your input.

For the first image we were limited by a number of factors, first safety: the plasma torch runs at approximately 3000°C and generates something like 5000 Volts. It could only be run from that position as the connecting wires were at maximum length and there was no space for the subjects to move right. So yes, before the torch ran I asked the bloke in the back to tilt his head in more. Once the torch ran, its sound was deafening so no verbal communication was possible - we all had to use ear plugs. I was crouching on an elevated electrical dollie under with a large softbox and its Prolite 60 monoblock. It's a mixture of flash and available light.

With respect to the second image, the engineer has just "popped" the plasma furnace and some plasma escaped upwards. Unfortunately, the chap in the background pretty much kept the same face throughout that particular series of images. The lady's face is fine ( she actually liked the way she looked) as is the CEO's.

As it turns out, the client and the agency were very happy with the work.

What I love most about the first two are their creative and dynamically balanced compositions. The last image that they chose is nice, but very 'safe'. If I were the art director on the job, I would have made a different choice.

I'll bet your clients are liking the clarity of the R8/DMR.

Conrad -

These are terrific, and I hope your client was happy with them. I like the angles, color and lighting. And, if you let your imagination roam, you can see number one as a torch powered magic carpet with three well-dressed passengers.

DD, Stuart and James - Thanks for taking the time to comment. Much apppreciated.

As stated before the client was very happy with the work. I think, as a general rule, clients really like the R8/DMR's quality/clarity.

DD - It's always good to have an AD's perspective. :D

James - The second image is also one of my favourite ones from the shoot.
