Avatar Posted November 22, 2012 Author Share #4 Â Posted November 22, 2012 Thanks Paul. I was annoyed that I missed most of the action. I shouldn't have made plans that night as this was a great place to shoot, especially with the Monochrome. Â I like image 3 i rested the camera on the rail and lowered shutter speed and took one shot. Â I brought the 35mm Summilux...a lense I though I would not use as I have kept the 28mm Summicron practically glued on the camera and thought I'd sell the 35 but that little voice said.."never sell a Leica lense" as I've made that mistake before. Â I think I actually prefer the look somehow from this lense a bit even stopped down it might be just a bit better than the Summicron...really not sure and don't care much but it's interesting. Â The 35mm focal length and of course 1.4 is great..this is probably my night combo! Â Happy Thanksgiving! Â Mark
melissah Posted November 22, 2012 Share #5 Â Posted November 22, 2012 Aw Ty for these. Here on the west coast just turning the parade on. I loved going the night before when I lived in NYC (and shot film) I never got much but loved it. The last is quite funny with the Theodore memorial sign in the back. And 3 is so interesting with the still view from the moving carriage. I try that idea again. Â Happy thanksgiving!

Avatar Posted November 23, 2012 Author Share #9  Posted November 23, 2012 Great series. I especially like the Pretzel shot.  thank you...It was funny as it happens, that I was setting up the shot as the vendor stuck out the pretzel like that..glad I was able to nail focus...funny when the pressure is on and you just know you have almost no time. That's the danger of liking a picture you took...do you like it cause you got it right or is it any good? lol  I am really looking forward to shooting more than ever between now and New Years with nightvision!! And my 35mm 1.4 is safe and secure...false alarm there..what was I thinking?
