Well.. What can I say?

Not only were there more entrants than ever before (thirty), but there were more voters than ever before (ninety nine). Thanks to everyone for their support for this Challenge. I, for one, found this more of a challenge than I was expecting - that's my excuse, anyway...

I can now announce the top three shots.

Congratulations go to the winner, Pete Farnsworth, for his excellent shot "The cyclist", with a total of 95 points (16% of the total)

In second place, was Carsten Dannat's shot "Point of View", with 77 points (13% of the total) An early leader, btw, just fading in later voting...

M8.2/28 Summicron/ISO 320

And in third place, was Carl Bretteville with 69 points (11.6% of the total)

M7/35 Summaron/Tri-x

It looks like bikes were very popular this year...

The prize fund will therefore be on its way to Pete Farnsworth in the morning.

Many thanks to everyone who took part and made this such a great weekend and a serious challenge. If anyone wants to know the full scores, just drop me a PM and I will email my scoring spreadsheet to you.

Onwards and upwards to Wetzlar next year!

:)

Wow, what can I say? I am overwhelmed! Congratulations to Carsten and Carl for their excellent pictures, thank you to Andy for organising, thank you to everyone who took part and thank you to everyone who chose to vote for my picture. It's amazing what this 1946 CZJ 50/2 Sonnar lens will produce 66 after it was born.

Thinking about what to do with the €300(?) prize fund, it would come in very handy just at the moment but on reflection I think that the Association for International Cancer Research could make much better use of the money than I could so, Andy, to save 'double handling' would you very kindly donate the prize fund to AICR in the Forum's name please?

I look forward to seeing you all in Wetzlar for the One Challenge's 10th anniversary.:)

Pete.

Well done Pete and thanks for your generosity.

I will add the prize fund (which is actually £300, or at least that's what Lloyds gave me when I converted the pot money back) to this month's book sales via Justgiving.

A Noble gesture indeed Pete, well done.

My best congratulations to Pete, Carsten and Carl for your excellent contributions, which are worthy winners. Donating the prize fund to AICR is highly praiseworthy.

My best thanks to Andy for the hard work of organizing the challenge.

I would also like to give everyone my best thanks for making this quite unique event happen again - be it by participating, joining the social part or by voting. It shows, that the internet can be used to bring people together in a creative mind, maybe also to advance photography.

In case some people wonder about, what this is all about, I would recommend to try it out. If you can't join, just do you own One Challenge and see, what one can do in just two hours.

My congratulations to Pete and Carl - stunning pictures of Copenhagen's bicycles and a hearty thank to Pete for donating the prize to AICR.

The One Challenge has been a first for me and I'm pretty proud to come in second. Many thanks to all the voters, the organizers and helpers.

The Copenhagen Challenge has been such an exciting, vibrant and of course "challenging" event Dagmar and I will talk about even when many moons have passed. The atmosphere and companionship has been great and we are both looking forward to join next year's challenge in Wetzlar, the hotel is booked already.

Cheers,

Carsten

Pete you are omnipitent! Winning the Day Challenge, especially well done, but not content with that you had to then be the subject of the Night Challenge winner. What a man.

Carl and Carsten of course, your images do you proud and I congratulate you both as well. I am proud to have competed alongside you and all the other worthy competitors. The Challenge is no easy task. Anyone who has not done it should. You will experience a new level of adrenalin. It starts again in Wetzlar. Be there!
