I've never had a comment about VF blockage but often get the surprising comment as someone is about to take a picture that "Wow everything is in focus, amazing".

The reaction I got from one young lady during a camera club outing was:

"But the lens stops me seeing part of what I'm trying to photograph. That's totally useless!"

Best regards,

Doug

It would be interesting to know which of the rich and fabulous who wear Leica M cameras are actually committed image makers and which are shallow posers.

A lot of actors I know have a very developed visual sense, so it's no surprise they are pretty decent photographers. Emmy Rossum (whose picture was deleted for having the Wrong Camera in it) is the daughter of Cheryl Rossum, a crack art/commercial/corporate photographer--I think she probably picked up a few pointers over the years).

Most of these actors are getting either paid to 'wear' the camera or been given it for free as long as they 'wear' it. doubt many use it. Blackstone would have Leica's marketing dept running overtime on this crap.

Oh dear, and I thought they were wealthy people who had bought their own (even if for poseur reasons).

This is an incredibly odd thread.

Questioning the picture taking ability of a group of people can be a dangerous game.

People engaged in a visually creative career may have some well developed sense of style and contact with some of the greatest image makers of our time ... or they simply may not have the eye for it. Depends on the person. However, why as a group would they be less likely to make a decent photograph than say an engineer or dentist?
