Advertisement Posted July 6, 2012 Posted July 6, 2012 Hi andybarton, Take a look here AG Photographic now process C41 - good price too. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
Guest Ming Rider Posted July 6, 2012 Share #2 Posted July 6, 2012 I saw this yesterday when ordering some Rodinal. Couldn't believe it. They've converted a warehouse into a darkroom and scanning facility. An amazing and bold move in the digital age and with this climate (financial, not rain. ) There must be a good resurgence in film. I take my hat off to them, if I wore one.
andybarton Posted July 6, 2012 Author Share #3 Posted July 6, 2012 IIRC, their darkrooms are available for hire. I'd be tempted if I lived closer.
Guest Ming Rider Posted July 6, 2012 Share #4 Posted July 6, 2012 Just like old times. Well seems like old times but only 8-10 years ago. Has digital reached a Zenith? What's next, "Kodachrome 64 Classic" ?
Guest Ming Rider Posted July 6, 2012 Share #5 Posted July 6, 2012 I'd be tempted if I lived closer. There's always the 'converted shed in the garden' route. Double lined and light sealed?
cocker Posted July 6, 2012 Share #6 Posted July 6, 2012 Very good news. i wish them success with it.
earleygallery Posted July 6, 2012 Share #7 Posted July 6, 2012 Advertisement (gone after registration) Good news! On top of this, Aperture (the s/h camera dealer) are also doing in house D&P. These people can't be doing this simply on a whim and hope - there is clearly demand for it.
Stealth3kpl Posted July 11, 2012 Share #8 Posted July 11, 2012 Very quick turn around (by return). They were returned in a Kenro negative sleeve. Great value. Pete http://farm8.staticflickr.com/7138/7551993220_8253de164c.jpg
Keith (M) Posted July 15, 2012 Share #9 Posted July 15, 2012 Will be posting a roll of 120 to them Monday morning to see how they compare with Peak Imaging. The last roll I had back from Peak (late April) had a disappointingly high number of dust specks and spotting them out in CS4 was a pain. Should have complained but was about to leave on a nine-week trip and time was short. Hopefully they will have cleaned the drying-cabinet air filter by now... MPerson Posted July 15, 2012 Share #10 Posted July 15, 2012 Considering Matt only started AG three years ago he has come a long way. He moved to bigger premises last November and now offering this service shows there must be a demand. Here's Matt with his Devere 108. Size matters! You'll know when he is using it as the lights will dim and flicker around Birmingham. Welcome, dear visitor! gyoung Posted July 16, 2012 Share #11 Posted July 16, 2012 I remember installing a similar Durst, we didn't have room high enough to get it to the top of the 'column'! It was b&w, the condensers for 10x8 are impressive, and heavy Gerry

It requires a ceiling of 15 feet.
Broadside Posted July 19, 2012 Share #13 Posted July 19, 2012 When I used to work as a b&w exhibition printer we had a beast of a 10x8 horizontal enlarger mounted on railway tracks projecting onto a metal wall with the paper held up with magnets. 15 feet x 7 feet prints, 20 minute exposures. I got replaced by a teenager on a computer and a giant inkjet printer.
Keith (M) Posted July 19, 2012 Share #14 Posted July 19, 2012 Very quick turn around (by return). They were returned in a Kenro negative sleeve. Great value.Pete Indeed. Posted my 'test' roll to them on Monday, had an email yesterday to tell me the negs had been dispatched and they arrived this morning. Excellent service and the negs are much more dust-free than the last toll from Peak Imaging. Will certainly be using them again - highly recommended.
