TomB_tx Posted June 18, 2012 Share #21 Posted June 18, 2012 Advertisement (gone after registration) I also preferred slide film, but will echo the votes for Portra 160 and Ektar, depending on lighting and scene contrast. I've been having it scanned by Precision Camera in Austin when processed, and have been pleased with their quality. I was recently at the Grand Canyon, shooting both films and M9, and have to work the M9 files more, while the film scans seem best just as delivered. Stealth3kpl Posted June 23, 2012 Share #22 Posted June 23, 2012 It's probably pretty hard to get a bad colour negative film nowadays. myshkine Posted June 23, 2012 Share #23 Posted June 23, 2012 I stocked some E100G and Elitechrome (still easily available online), otherwise Ektar is my choice. No Fuji (yet...).

Yeah, it's all pretty good and has been for the past 10 years or so. Less to choose from but still very good. And it's kind of like ice cream. All good, but everyone will always have their favorite flavor.

Guest Ming Rider Posted June 25, 2012 Share #27 Posted June 25, 2012 Advertisement (gone after registration) As previously mentioned, Kodak Colorplus 200 (actually Kodacolor on the reel) because it costs £1 from Poundland. Still in stock. At that price I bought 20 Rolls. It's the free rolls they used to send you when they returned your prints. Results are slightly over saturated in the reds (could be my developing) but pleasing all the same.
