richam Posted March 7, 2007 Share #3 Posted March 7, 2007 Beautiful colors. The smoothness of sky and mist form a perfect contrast to the craggy rocks. Well done.

Guest WPalank Posted March 8, 2007 Share #11 Posted March 8, 2007 Thank you Jonathan, Azzo, Stuart, Brian, Sven and Carl for your kind words. Armin and Ed, the reason I was complaining about the lens was that I would of liked to have been a little wider. This stretch of beach is pretty treacherous consisting of rocks and boulders leaving little room to plant a tripod, especially in the dark. Thank you Michael. What seems to be "mist" is an old magicians trick consisting of smoke and mirrors. Stop down your aperture and if you leave the shutter open long enough with the rushing tide, you can make the ocean look like a large cup of cappuccino. I stopped it down to 16 and and went with aperture priority. I think the exposure was close to 10 seconds.
