Armin and Ed, the reason I was complaining about the lens was that I would of liked to have been a little wider. This stretch of beach is pretty treacherous consisting of rocks and boulders leaving little room to plant a tripod, especially in the dark.

 

Thank you Michael. What seems to be "mist" is an old magicians trick consisting of smoke and mirrors. Stop down your aperture and if you leave the shutter open long enough with the rushing tide, you can make the ocean look like a large cup of cappuccino.;)

nice! where in Marin and what exposure time did u use?mark

It was at the southern end of Rodeo Beach which is close to Sausolito.

I stopped it down to 16 and and went with aperture priority. I think the exposure was close to 10 seconds.

Very nice indeed , darken the sky(blue only) at 41%(midtones) with the burn tool brush size about 164 for posted jpeg size and watch the photo really jump

Ims, I will take ytour advice and rework it in a couple of days.

Right now I have a shoot or two in the works and a client breathing down my back!
