leicamann Posted May 19, 2012 Share #1 Â Posted May 19, 2012 Advertisement (gone after registration) Hi my name is Tidbit, yesterday I did something very foolish. I tried to jump up the side of the house to get into a woodpecker hole that was 21 ft above the ground. Well my claws didn't hold up as I thought and I fell, feet first down unto the concrete pad below... with a loud thud...., but believe or not, I am ok, John says I lost one of my 9 lives. Anyhow he is so happy that I am still alive today that he took this picture of me, I hope you like it. Â Cheers, Tidbit

allamande Posted May 22, 2012 Share #8 Â Posted May 22, 2012 TidBit, You look lovely in this portrait. John clearly did a good job! Your eyes seem to sparkle with thoughts of your next project (or maybe with thoughts of tuna?). Â Ece

leicamann Posted May 24, 2012 Author Share #10 Â Posted May 24, 2012 Thanks folks.. I think we can safely say here TidBit is posing in his best ' Wagnerian" style...to give him that ' Epic" look.... of course "he knows " and assumes that tuna is forthcoming . melissah Posted May 29, 2012 Share #11 Â Posted May 29, 2012 Tidbit has positioned himself to color match his eyes with the surrounding greenery. Cats know how to do this because the reward is often tuna.
stuny Posted May 30, 2012 Share #12 Â Posted May 30, 2012 John - Â Excellent, classic portrait. BTW: Cats quickly and instinctively turn to put their four paws down during a fall, and much like a skydiver in spread eagle, only more effectively, this position slows their fall, and distributes the impact among all four paws also helping to save the day. Â Â Thanks Stuart, yeah thats what he did, it was quite extraordinary... he still landed with a thud though, then ran in the house, in shock.. for a few days he was acting out of it then he is fine now...crazy cat, all for a bird, that was unreachable in the first place:confused: Â Cheers, JRM
