Dikdik Posted May 24, 2012 Share #11  Posted May 24, 2012 Part of a bouquet for Mothers Day. D Lux 4.Caryl  Hi Caryl;  congratulation! An absolutely nice shot of an originally very rare plant. The pincushion flowers (here: Leucospermum cordifolium) originated from South Africa and are part of the so called "Fynbos" vegetation which, included some very specialized and almost rare endemic plants.  There is only a small area to Cape Province these plants are native. Because of their beauty and the stunny flower´s architecture Leucospermum became widespread over the world and are now in plant nurseries and gardenshops to acquire.  Thank you for this nice shot and best regards  Dikdik  :):)
