I just bought a M8u, with the 2.014 firmware already installed, but I can t find the "advance" line in the menu??? I feel a bit stupid here...:confused: Help me please!!! Remember, it only appears if you have the slower shutter. If your top speed is 1/8000, there is no "Advance" menu. There are several available upgrades to the M8--framelines, sapphire glass and shutter are all separate items. To me they were all important, but not every M8 user bought the same package of upgrade components. Welcome to the forum and congratulations on the purchase! The guy from the shop I bought the camera said that the upgrade was fully done, so no 1/8000 on the shutter speed dial. I tried all the different shutter speed and nothing! No advance menu! ho_co Posted April 26, 2012 Share #4 Posted April 26, 2012 OK, then I'm at a loss. Supposedly, the "Advance" menu becomes available with the slower shutter. So if you've got the 1/4000 top speed, it's supposed to be there. It comes automatically with the firmware, and you've got the latest firmware. I don't think "Reset" goes that deep in the settings. It's still on 2.014, but after reading this thread I checked, and no Advance menu! I haven't used the Discreet setting for ages anyway - never thought it did much good - but this does seem strange.
