scott kirkpatrick Posted February 28, 2007 Share #7 Â Posted February 28, 2007 Advertisement (gone after registration) in the Feb issue. But they say that these Leica filters will stand head and shoulders above the competition from Schneider, Helio, etc, and only cost 100-150 EUR (currently at Foto-Huppert, the B&W line costs 50-100 EUR). So I don't know what to believe. Â scott
wilfredo Posted February 28, 2007 Share #8 Â Posted February 28, 2007 Nothing Yet. I'm in California. Perhaps we will be notified soon that there is a delay in shipment, but we have one day left in February. Â Cheers, Wilfredo+

marknorton Posted February 28, 2007 Share #10 Â Posted February 28, 2007 As I recall, they are introducing 7 filter sizes in black with some also in chrome and it makes you wonder how they have come up with the mix of sizes in the forward order from Schneider, Hoya, whoever. Â I had hoped that as well as asking what sizes we wanted for free, they might also have asked us to say what other filters we were minded to buy and so gain an insight into the sizes required overall. If they've tried to forecast based solely on the actual filters requested, I can imagine the world being awash with 55, 60, 67mm (because everyone has asked for the larger sizes for free) and 39mm being as rare as hen's teeth. Â "Funny", they'll say, "no-one asked for 39mm filters so we didn't get any made..."
chris_tribble Posted February 28, 2007 Share #11 Â Posted February 28, 2007 Not got mine yet + I did get a B+W 39 from FotoHuppert (such nice people to deal with) but because it's not slim I can't use the Leica hood on my pre-asph 50 lux. So not only do I want see a 39, I want to see a slim one...

larry Posted February 28, 2007 Share #17 Â Posted February 28, 2007 I haven't received mine either. However, I have it on the best of authority that Leica is working with "The Big Guy" to eliminate infrared light from the energy spectrum, thereby making the dreaded IR-cut filter irrelevant. :-) Â Larry
