but sometimes it is worth it.

Early start today, first pre-dawn exit for some time, but what a morning I had!

Here's five from today in no particular order.

Wow! Bill, all of these are simply marvelous. I saw the first image and thought that's gonna be my favorite of the series for sure. Then, I as I kept scrolling down and seeing more, I thought...holy moly! How can I pick a favorite out of all these?! Excellent photography with wonderful compositions, hauntingly beautiful light, and great detail.

Bill,

All these pictures are noteworthy. I like No.1 and No.4 the most. Even though they are of the same location, the viewpoint of the two fields-of-view make two different pictures. The first looks like a fine painting that should be on a wall while the fourth is equally spectacular. I like the horse portrait also and not to take away from the b&w which are also first rate.

Nobody does it quite like you, Bill. Always an inspiration to me. Thanks for posting these.

The first, second and fourth especially make me want to throw away my gear...but I won't, heh heh. :p

Congratulations Bill for your early start today. It is a amazing set of pictures telling me there is so much I can learn.

#4 is my favourite, but I also like #2. I wonder how close the structure gauge is in UK.

Thanks for sharing
