Advertisement Posted January 22, 2012 Posted January 22, 2012 Hi IWC Doppel, Take a look here Micro 4/3 Leica M adapters. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
250swb Posted January 22, 2012 Share #2 Posted January 22, 2012 I have one by Rayqual and it is very well made. From what I see see it is the same as those marketed by Cameraquest with their own name on them. I think it was about £40. Steve
stunsworth Posted January 22, 2012 Share #3 Posted January 22, 2012 I bought a cheap one off eBay and it seems well made. Focussing in an SLR fashion means that it doesn't matter if the adaptor has an incorrect register - within reason - as focus is based on what's you see on the screen. In my case it was worth the experiment because the adaptor was cheap, but I didn't find that using manual focus lenses on the camera - Panasonic GF1 in my case - was something I'd want to repeat often. Focussing was very slow, and there are issues with the wider angle lenses.
jtorrents Posted January 22, 2012 Share #4 Posted January 22, 2012 I use a Metabones adapter, bought from Ebay. Extremely well machined.
gyoung Posted January 22, 2012 Share #5 Posted January 22, 2012 My good one with accurate register was from SRB, a cheap one from Hong Kong goes beyond infinity although the Nikon one from them is OK No good with M lenses below 50mm though, soft in the corners due to short backfocus and sensor design, plenty of threads about this 'problem' Gerry
algrove Posted January 22, 2012 Share #6 Posted January 22, 2012 I have the Panny one and have used it without problems. Somewhere someone discussing NEX adapters suggested getting the best as they would be more accurate and hold up longer to use over the years versus some other one that might not. You get what you pay for. I did not want to chance some off-brand adapter breaking and then perhaps causing my expensive Leica lens to drop.
d_lague Posted July 28, 2012 Share #7 Posted July 28, 2012 Advertisement (gone after registration) I have a GF1 and a GX1 and a couple of good eBay adapters they work fine. The lens in not going to drop off. You have to manual focus, so a well made adapter will work fine. I am using mine with OM lenses that I have left over from my OM days. Primes are wonderful. sdai Posted July 28, 2012 Share #8 Posted July 28, 2012 I got the Panasonic adapters for both M and R with very decent build quality ... high recommended!
chalkdust Posted August 4, 2012 Share #9 Posted August 4, 2012 My Voigtlander adaptors to use M mount lenses on micro 4/3 work with no problems ever. There seem to be many good choices. I particularly enjoy using various M mount lenses in the micro 4/3 system.
pgmj Posted August 6, 2012 Share #10 Posted August 6, 2012 I have a cheap pixco adapter. Perfect fit and works well with my 75/90mm rf lenses.
pico Posted August 6, 2012 Share #11 Posted August 6, 2012 Voigtlander M to 4/3 mount is excellent and has a very nice feature: there is a subtle ridge in the adapter that keeps collapsible lenses from going in too far, thus you cannot hit the sensor. Nice thought on their part.
Jon Pop Posted August 20, 2012 Share #12 Posted August 20, 2012 I have a GF1 and the Voigtlander adapter and it's been great, no problems, very nice results. It's not my M9, but I sure love the look of the Leica glass on anything. While the Panasonic 20mm f1.7 pancake is a wonderful lens, when I throw my summicron 50 on the GF1 it's in another league.
