Eine Baureihe am Ende ihrer Fahrtauglichkeit - diese soll die letzte 103 in Süddeutschland sein und ist in Ulm stationiert.

Gegenüber den eckigen Nachfolgern fällt die runde Stirn wieder ebenso auf wie bei der Einführung der E03.

Deshalb eine Fotoeinstellung trotz aller Mängel eines Knipsbildes aus dem fahrenden Zug ohne zu öffnende Fenster aber mit leicht getönten Scheiben und Reflexen durch Spiegelungen des Streiflichtes am Morgen und die 103 kreuzendem Strommast.;)

DB-Baureihe 103...

2003 verordnete die Deutsche Bahn die Stilllegung aller Fahrzeuge, setzt aber bis heute vier Lokomotiven als Einsatzreserve, für Sonderzüge, Überführungen oder auch Planzüge ein. Dies sind die Lokomotiven 103 113-7 und 103 235-8 der DB Fernverkehr Frankfurt/M (Einsatz vor Planzügen), 103 222-6 DB Systemtechnik (zugelassen bis 280 km/h) und die Lok 103 245-7 der DB Fernverkehr München (Einsatz vor Planzügen). Museal erhalten sind weitere zwölf Lokomotiven, davon drei aus der Vorserie.

Gegenverkehr am Brandensteintunnel; der Lampenanordnung nach war es wohl ein Vectron gewesen

Bombardier 187 001 (Last Mile Lokomotive) bei einer Verschubfahrt in Kufstein. Die Lok war auch vor Güterzügen auf den Brenner im Erprobungseinsatz.
