I prefer a wet method of cleaning the sensor glass cover as blowing dust away is a temporary fix. The dust is still in the mechanism and at the next lens change it can and will move back to the sensor.

Now sucking dust might work but I still prefer a wet cleaning process. It seems to last the longest.

If used in excess Eclipse will leave a white residue that is hard to remove. I prefer the fluid provided by Dust Aid or medical grade Isopropyl alcohol.

The best way to remove loose dust is to use the Green Clean vacuum cleaner. Their Wet and Dry system for wet cleaning is very practical, but not very effective for oil.

It is imperative to blow clean the sensor before wet cleaning. You do not want to drag a mini- grain of sand across it with your swab.
