JE Posted February 20, 2007 Share #3 Posted February 20, 2007 I agree with the above. Excellent shot. I especially like the faintness of the mountain being overwhelmed by the cloud. Beautiful colors.

gyoung Posted February 20, 2007 Share #8 Posted February 20, 2007 M8, 50 Cron. On a very cold day with my new M8.Roger Thats very nice, brings back memories of winters in Montreal a long while ago. How does the M8 do in very cold temperatures, relying on batteries? I remember my M3 doing quite well at -20 F wheras a Pentax S1a I had only lasted about 5 minutes outside my jacket before the shutter stopped working, and they are both mechanical. mgcd Posted February 22, 2007 Share #10 Posted February 22, 2007 I heard it had been cold back home but obviously not as cold as I thought since there is no steam coming out of the lake. Very nice image, crisp feel of a cold winter snap. You are obviously enjoying your M8 and it appears to perform well in the cold Canadian winter. All the best,
simardr Posted February 22, 2007 Author Share #11 Posted February 22, 2007 Gerry, I usually freeze before the M8 does...I experienced the line on the LC display but it disappears when the camera warms up. Conrad, I shot the Mercier bridge and there is a lot of steam coming from the St. Lawrence. I'll post later Thanks for looking and for your nice comments everyone.
