gyoung Posted February 17, 2007 Share #1 Posted February 17, 2007 Advertisement (gone after registration) I've been looking at all your great pictures for a while, thought I would try posting one myself. This was taken on the beach at Tywyn, Central Wales, about a year ago. M6ttl, 21mm Elmarit asph. Fuji Provia 100 Gerry

ECliffordSmith Posted February 17, 2007 Share #2 Posted February 17, 2007 Gerry, This is very nicely framed and the foreground detail is spectacular. I find the horizon a little soft though. Was this the intention? A beautiful scene!

Was this the intention? A beautiful scene! As always, its a trade off between depth of field and shutter speed, the sand in the foreground was only a few feet from the lens, and there should have been enough depth of field to cover it to infinity, it was a fair bit hazy in the distance although very cold Thanks for you kind comments. JE Posted February 17, 2007 Share #4 Posted February 17, 2007 Wow! This is a great shot. There is a wonderful Latin word to describe this photo...CLARITAS, much more than brightness or clarity, this photo evokes a wide-eyed stare, a taking everything in. Again, very nice.
