andybarton Posted February 17, 2007 Share #1 Posted February 17, 2007 Advertisement (gone after registration) I have not stood on this side of the Mersey before. (Well, not this far inland). I need to come back when the light is better. My "To Do" list is growing by the day.
Advertisement Posted February 17, 2007 Posted February 17, 2007 Hi andybarton, Take a look here Cloudy day over Ince. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
arminw Posted February 17, 2007 Share #2 Posted February 17, 2007 Interesting textures created by the clouds ! The fact that 2/3 of the image is dominated by the clouds makes it very intriguing and one looks very closely to the bottom part to identify what's going on there. A well composed picture all together and a brilliant tonal range . Armin
azzo Posted February 17, 2007 Share #3 Posted February 17, 2007 Dramatic sky and even more, dramatically rendered. A very nice b&w image IMHO. Azzo
stuny Posted February 17, 2007 Share #4 Posted February 17, 2007 Andy - The texture, light and dominance of the sky is terrific, especially how it dwarfs the land below, which you wisely left as just a small percentage of the shot.

samwells Posted February 19, 2007 Share #7 Posted February 19, 2007 Advertisement (gone after registration) Andy - wonderful clouds, with which those tiny smokestacks on the horizon cannot even begin to compete. Beautiful rich tones and composition. Thanx for showing. cheers: Sam
Peter41951 Posted February 20, 2007 Share #8 Posted February 20, 2007 Cloudy is putting it mildly! Wonderful cloud formation dwarfing the landscape to near insignificance.
richam Posted February 21, 2007 Share #9 Posted February 21, 2007 Andy, Nicely set up and composed -- the clouds are the subject and terrestrial features are the background and reference point. The juxtaposition works.
