andybarton Posted February 17, 2007 Share #7 Posted February 17, 2007 Advertisement (gone after registration) Has one of the opportunities we were talking about come through then? As John said, it will be nice to see what you do when you are only pleasing yourself
Rolo Posted February 17, 2007 Author Share #8 Posted February 17, 2007 Has one of the opportunities we were talking about come through then? Not one that we talked about Andy, but one that came from a similar source. Have to set up the marketing activity, world-wide sales and distribution network for a BMW based vehicle product. Exciting challenge with lots of travel and a Leica M as a constant companion. Think the M8 is a much better fit for future stuff than it was for my Pro work. Looking forward to the Dealer calling now. Thanks to all for your comments. Rolo
stunsworth Posted February 17, 2007 Share #9 Posted February 17, 2007 Good luck with the new enterprise - and don't forget to get those filters for the M8 :-)
stuny Posted February 17, 2007 Share #10 Posted February 17, 2007 Rolo - Best of luck. I've been blown away by the images you have been posting and can't wait to see what else you will create. Also, please let us know how the BMW gig is going, without letting any cats out of the bag.

elansprint72 Posted February 17, 2007 Share #12 Posted February 17, 2007 So the father of the bride caught up with you then, I always knew it would end in tears. All the best with the career move: does the vehicle have less than three wheels? Hope you can make it on the Lost Boys trip to Liverpool.
Rolo Posted February 17, 2007 Author Share #13 Posted February 17, 2007 All the best with the career move: does the vehicle have less than three wheels? Cheers Pete, but sorry to disappoint you I'm not leaving, only changing occupation! No, the vehicle doesn't have less than three wheels. It's not a secret, but just need to get my feet under the table on Monday and make sure I'm not living in a dream world. Rolo
dotandcom Posted February 17, 2007 Share #14 Posted February 17, 2007 Rolo, Many congratuations on the new job. So, you've taken the corporate shilling? Does this mean I should stop saving up for lessons?! Anyway, I could never afford you now! Seriously, I've learned much in a short time just from studying the images you have posted and reading the generous information that you always pass on when asked. I hope you'll keep on commenting, even if you have less time for posting photos. By the way, you've brought down the curtain in some style, with a cracker of an image. A last hurrah! All the best for the future, Chris

Rolo Posted February 18, 2007 Author Share #17 Posted February 18, 2007 Cracking shot Rolo, Is that Staithes? Yes, it's Staithes in North Yorkshire. It's tricky to get the right time and took me three attempts o get almost what I wanted. I wanted a whole fleet on the horizon, not just a few.
