Guest stanjan0 Posted February 12, 2013 Share #187 Â Posted February 12, 2013 Advertisement (gone after registration) I think any wife, girlfriend, lover, should understand what is really important. Spending thousands for camera, lens is a safeguard to fidelity in a marriage, let me explain "$5 or 6 thousand spent on camera gear is signs of fidelity because a man with a camera taking pictures is a man interested only that moment of taking pictures but, a man without a camera is a man on the way into trouble, his spare time could wind him upon a strange bed with a strange female or even a strange male. So you married woman don't begrudge your husband or lover from buying camera gear but, ideal hands cause not fidelity but, infidelity. So sezz I. Thats what I sell my wife for the last 61 years. ivohula Posted February 12, 2013 Share #189 Â Posted February 12, 2013 I would only sell it if you have not used it for a considerable period of time. Â I also use a WATE, a MATE and a Macro Elmar as a perfect travel/hiking kit. Sometimes I augment it with a 24 lux for low light shooting at dawn or dusk. Â When doing a lengthy street photography session in a big city, there is no better lens for stealthy photos than a MATE. There is no time to change lenses and at f4 to f8, I can shoot from the hip without even having to use a viewfinder to focus.

stevesurf Posted February 16, 2013 Share #191 Â Posted February 16, 2013 http://www.l-camera-forum.com/leica-wiki.en/index.php/28mm-35mm-50mm_f/4_ASPH_Tri-Elmar-MÂ Do not underestimate the resources of this forum... Â What a great resource! Â As someone said awhile back, this is a great lens for visiting a city with a minimal load and it's versatile enough to just keep it on all the time. I was very luck to have used this when I first visited Japan. The dealer actually loaned it to me back around 1999 and I wound up getting one, then selling my Leica system to move prematurely to digital, a decision that set me back a few years of work. Â I still wish I had that lens as I really enjoy keeping the travel load light, even though I wind up taking a WATE, 35, 50 and 90 along. Â Best of luck in whatever you do! Guest stanjan0 Posted April 16, 2013 Share #193 Â Posted April 16, 2013 Guys, no one is posting new images with their so called E49 Mates but, all have reasons (true or BS) for not posting images with their so called E49 Mates. I am almost 81 years old and can hardly leave my home without assistance so whats your excuse for BLABBING, and BLABBING, my lens is being this and that and one could, would, start to believe they may be BSing about owing a Mate. Or perhaps when they talk about owning a Mate they mean their SPOUSE. These excuses are starting to sound like ABBOT and COSTELLO, for our younger posters they were top comedians in my day 40's, 50's, and even the 60's. Whose on first, etc, etc. One of the most famous sayings in my day was "MONEY TALKS AND B--lS--T WALKS". So lets see your money (E49 images) or continue walking (BS). I'm so sorry that I'm impatient.
