It's really irritating and something I'd look at daily. Yes it's a little OCD but that's me.  However..  Its a smear of paint. I took a cotton ear bud Q-tip thing and pulled off the cotton at the tip. So there was just the plastic stalk. A little gentle pressure and rubbing I noticed small flecks of yellow coming off. Â Did the lens come with a little certificate signed by a Solms gnome to show that the lens had been checked and passed as perfect? Seems as though they are rushing new stuff out the door and allowing minor defects. Best to check your item thoroughly before leaving the store (can't do that with mail order of course).
