Michael Geschlecht Posted March 10, 2016 Share #1145 Posted March 10, 2016 Hello Wally, Perhaps in the Northern Half?Best Regards, Michael
war Posted March 11, 2016 Share #1146 Posted March 11, 2016 Hi Michael. Northern half, no. Southern quarter, yes.
war Posted March 14, 2016 Share #1147 Posted March 14, 2016 Advertisement (gone after registration) Maybe a hint will create some interest: In the foreground is the plaza and church (not seen here) that was done by a prominent Spanish architect. The glass wall in the mid ground is separated from the subject building, a hundred yards away, by a depressed highway. That building was designed by an Austrian architectural firm. Michael Geschlecht Posted March 16, 2016 Share #1148 Posted March 16, 2016 Hello Wally, Would that be "the Southern quarter" on the left* side? Best Regards, Michael *Where are the other players Wally?
war Posted March 16, 2016 Share #1149 Posted March 16, 2016 Hi Michael, Yes, the left side, near the coast. There doesn't seem to be a lot of interest in "architecture" in general.
Michael Geschlecht Posted March 16, 2016 Share #1150 Posted March 16, 2016 (edited) Hello Wally I don't know why. Perhaps it is "Spring Fever". That is a really nice picture & it is interesting to try to figure out where it is. Could this be somewhere in a City near the Ocean?Best Regards, Michael Edited March 16, 2016 by Michael Geschlecht
war Posted March 17, 2016 Share #1151 Posted March 17, 2016 Hi Michael, Yes this is in a big city near the ocean.
war Posted March 23, 2016 Share #1152 Posted March 23, 2016 Since there has been no interest in this one, I'm posting another photo that might help. Welcome, dear visitor! Michael Geschlecht Posted March 24, 2016 Share #1153 Posted March 24, 2016 Hello Wally, Thank you for the new photo of a different building. Hmm. I've seen something like this somewhere before. Best Regards, Michael
war Posted March 25, 2016 Share #1154 Posted March 25, 2016 Hi Michael, No, this is the same building as shown in #1140 just a closer view from across the highway.
Michael Geschlecht Posted March 28, 2016 Share #1155 Posted March 28, 2016 Hello Wally, Why do you think this Thread has entered somewhat of a slow spot? Your photos are nice & the building is interesting. Best Regards, Michael
war Posted March 28, 2016 Share #1156 Posted March 28, 2016 Hi Michael. Don't know why there is not a lot of interest. There doesn't seem to be much activity in the "Architecture" heading in general. Often, I find architectural images in other threads that are not posted in Architecture. The corresponding German language photo forum has so many more postings than the English one, and I must say the quality of the photos there is very high. We'll have to just keep plugging away. Michael Geschlecht Posted March 28, 2016 Share #1157 Posted March 28, 2016 (edited) Hello Wally, In order to keep "plugging away" & in keeping with your last photo: Could this be a City known for being associated with the automobile-centric term "smog"? Best Regards. Michael Edited March 28, 2016 by Michael Geschlecht
war Posted March 28, 2016 Share #1158 Posted March 28, 2016 Yes it is LA, and an unusually clear morning it was, I am told. As for the building, it would be unlikely that anyone unfamiliar with it would be able to identify it's purpose from these photos. Theme park, power plant, no! stuny Posted March 28, 2016 Share #1159 Posted March 28, 2016 As long as I can recall the architecture photo forum is very lightly attended and only the technology forum gets less participation
Michael Geschlecht Posted March 28, 2016 Share #1160 Posted March 28, 2016 (edited) Hello Stuart, Thanx for writing. Does the Technology Section have a "What/Where in the World" also? That would be really nice. Especially because this Forum has all kinds of people from all over the World who know all kinds of things about all kinds of things. By the way: Do you know what this building which has a number of interesting perspectives is?Best Regards, Michael Edited March 28, 2016 by Michael Geschlecht
