I can get the vibes that a hint is needed - albeit a cryptic one :p . This beautiful palace is in a huge park of the same name, which is famous for something that is not actually there.

Correct and what it is famous for is tigers. We were going to stay there and asked: "how many tigers do you estimate are there in the Tiger Park?"  "Well actually none" was the answer in 2005. They may have imported some since. We went and stayed at the Ranthambore Tiger Park instead. We were extremely lucky and saw two female adults and a juvenile within half an hour of coming into the park. The Indian prime minister had been there the week before and in a day and a half, had seen none.

Your turn.

I thought recently the Tigers returned and sightings were more common.

They may well have done. The estimate for the numbers of wild tigers has increased somewhat from a very low base in India, possibly for the first time in modern history. I was there with my wife in 2005. Our driver was going to stay with our Hindustan Ambassador car (1950's Morris Oxford) outside the Ranthambore Tiger Park but we told him to come along with us in the Suzuki jeep. When we got out of the park, he was in tears, as he had never seen a tiger before, either wild or captive.

Sadly, I saw this one tonight on the news - George R. Brown Convention Center, Houston, Texas (currently housing 9,000 flood refugees from Hurricane Harvey).

:(

I hope you're doing OK, JD.
