Advertisement (gone after registration)

This is the Amber Room in Catherine Palace in St. Petersburg. 

More accurately it is a recently constructed replica from photos and drawings of the infamous baroque room installed in a palace in Berlin. Dismantled, moved, hidden, reassembled, stolen, recovered, and lost perhaps forever. (although not necessarily in that order) 

Hope you took some color photos.

Correct (and pretty fast as well ☺️). Went there 2003 (with my brand new and 1st Leica, Digilux1) when they had just opened it after 25 years of reconstruction.

The lights inside made the colours somewhat strange and have adjusted above detail recently to be more accurate (in my opinion). The first photo is converted B&W as could not make the colours correct.

Need the location. The building is known only by it's address. The architect, known for a very popular later building.
